Microsoft Releases New Security Bulletins

Microsoft released 2 new security bulletins in November. Of the 2, 1 is rated Critical on Microsoft's severity rating system.

The following patches have been added to the Shavlik XML file:

Vulnerabilities in Microsoft XML Core Services Could Allow Remote Code Execution (955218)

Important
MS08-068
Vulnerability in SMB Could Allow Remote Code Execution (957097)

How to Obtain the New Shavlik XML File

The new XML file will be automatically downloaded to your NetChk console the next time a scan is performed. Alternatively, you may initiate a refresh of all Shavlik files, including the XML files, by selecting 'Tools-Refresh Files' from the menu bar in the NetChk console.
